Outer Space Pals

Notes

Panel #1 (Title)
• This is Outer Space Pals #9. In this episode, we discuss how smells move from one place to another.

Panel #2 thru Panel #7
• In humans and animals, certain molecules (called odors) interact with sensors in the nose. These odors move through the air. But there's no air in space (it's a vacuum), so there's no way for odors to reach our noses. We couldn't take even one breath in space!

Panel #8
• Of all the planets, only Mercury has no atmosphere. The Moon also has no atmosphere.

Panel #9
• These are two great questions. We'll learn the answers to them in Outer Space Pals #10.
